Much Ado About Nothing Troubadour Adaptation E-Play
Don Pedro returns from the wars to his old friend Leonato’s house. In his retinue are the dashing and promising soldier Claudio, and the infamously sarcastic Benedick. Though veterans of a many a battle, these soldiers are ill prepared for the warfare that awaits them. In the world of wooing, where words are daggers, phrases poison and costume armour will they find their way through to a happy ending?

Plays must be performed to be understood. In line with our mission to promote access to the arts everywhere, and to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the publication of Shakespeare's First Folio, we are thrilled to release all nine of our Shakespeare adaptations in print for the first time.
Our adaptations are short clear distillations of the original text that serve as an accessible introduction to the newcomer and a welcome starting point for an experienced Shakespearean.
If you are a school, a non-profit, a keen enthusiast (or anyone else non commercial) feel free to stage our adaptation, free of charge! That's right, we won't ask a penny in licensing fees. Please let us know your plans however! We would love to help and hear how you are getting along.
The price set here is a donation, and all money donated will be re-invested in our digital learning programme. This programme will involve working on further editions of the texts which can include text notes, character analysis, song scores and staging starting points, as well as developing a video library of tutorials and further skills that will be able to be accessed free of charge... and much more!
If you are unable to donate at this time please contact the charity to arrange the script to be sent to you.
